A very upright habit plant, and the leaves almost split symmetrically off the pseudostem. A consistent yielder with great flavor to perk up your winter dishes. I’ve been told it’s definitely a French Rocambole brought over during colonization, yet it is often sold as a Purple Stripe (and in such contexts, relabeled Vietnamese Purple).
Interesting to note they booted the colonizers out but definitely kept this excellent garlic. It's just that good. Grab some for making unrivalled banh mi.
