Some say Spanish Roja has no rival in the flavor department. I won’t dispute- it’s one of my favorite Rocamboles for flavor. I find it a challenge as a grower in my climate, so gardeners of 43 degrees north beware- Turkish Red, Killarney Red, or Carpathian may prove more reliable producers. Spanish Roja does better about 50 miles south with more irrigation and warmer springs. Give it a go though, it's a top-in-class Rocambole with few rivals.
